I'm worried about them also. If enough people could get involved we could adopt them, even though they are adults, hence citizenship. There's so many of them that we couldn't get enough people. but some would be better then none. I'm also in the Bay Area, Dublin.
I'm retired in Vacaville but taught ELD English for years at Fairfield High and Armijo High in Fairfield. Many of those "kids" now have families, trades, college education, careers, and in the military. A friend of mine has taught citizenship classes for years, but finally attaining citizenship it is an arduous and somewhat costly enterprise not always easily accessible for working individuals.
They're in jeopardy, no doubt, but hopefully something can be done for them. He's to busy now and hasn't concentrated on them lately but he will. There must be some law somewhere that protects them.

TACO federalized our National Guard out here under "Section 10" rules. This means that the guard troops can back up and assist federal authorities, but THEY CANNOT OPERATE AS LAW ENFORCEMENT. As Michael Vladek posted this morning, they cannot do anything because that would violate the Posse Comitatus Act, which means the military cannot operate as law enforcement. And they are supposed to only be activated as TACO has done WITH THE AGREEMENT of the state's governor. I think I am on strong ground in predicting that State AG Rob Bonta is going to be in LA Federal Court tomorrow morning arguing (rightly) that TACO violated the law (surprise surprise) by doing this and that the guard must be sent home.
The only way the guard troops can operate as law enforcement is if TACO invokes the Insurrection Act (which he has wanted to do since Day 1 of the first up-fuck). The conditions here don't support that (nobody is demonstrating about anything this morning) and community leaders have made it clear to the people in Paramount that a violent response to anything will get them what they do not want.
